I was feeling great this weekend so my Mom graciously took me to the shop yesterday and today and I worked around 7 1/2 hours BOTH days (for a total of over 14 hours of work!!), getting over 320 boards built, inspected, programmed and tested. Afterwards, I was in a lot of pain both days, but the point is that even though I did experience pain during the day, I talked myself through it, using positive words, thoughts, and lots of praying. And I will admit that one of our employees and my wonderful hubby helped me get them done. As a reward for being able to work more this weekend than in the last two weeks, my Mom gave me a very special present ... a solar-powered wind chime to put on our back deck. I'm very excited to hang it up as it's very beautiful! I'll post a picture of it soon. That was very nice of her ... thank you Mom for the incentive to put aside my pain and concentrate on this gift that I couldn't open until I put in a full day's work! My hubby and my parents have been instrumental in helping me when I needed someone to talk to and such, and I thank you guys so much. I love you all!!
Now that I know that I can work for longer than just a few hours, I'm going back to work tomorrow. And I'm planning on working full-days this week. Even though I'm still in pain, I can do this. With God's help, and my family's encouragement, I know I can do this.
P.S. To answer the question about the chickens ... we've decided to keep them. We learned that we can't put baby chicks with our already grown chickens, so we are looking at purchasing or building a larger, stand-up pen for the current chickens, and have a smaller pen for Blake's baby chicks that he keeps asking us to buy for him (it's either those or a rabbit. I pick the baby chicks). My idea is to have them set up so they can see each other through the fences, but can't get to each other. We definitely don't need the big chickens pecking on the baby chicks. Jon's been doing some shopping around and has big plans on what to do. I'll post pictures when it's all done.
