This week's news ...

This week has been a mess:

Monday: Went to work, experiencing little bit of face congestion, chalk it up to allergies. Feeling very tired after lunch, and at 2:45 emailed my supervisor Paula and my hubby that I wasn't feeling well. Clocked out of my time sheet and fell asleep at my desk. Slept for one hour.

3:45 hubby wakes me up, determines I'm okay to drive, and sends me home. While at home, I check my temperature, and it's at 102.5. Take Nyquil and go to bed.

8pm Wake up, temp is at 103, call Mom to take me to Urgent Care.

Nurse Practioner at U.C. diagnoses me with sinus infection, prescribes antibiotic, and gives me off-work slip until Wednesday.

Tuesday: Sleep majority of day, fever still high, face very congested. No appetite.

Wednesday: 101.5 fever, call Primary Dr to get work restriction note extended. Says I need to see him today. Dad drives me to appt.  Dr says no sinus infection, but instead have Upper Respiratory Infection/Influenza. No work until Monday. No more antibiotics since they aren't working, as this is viral, not bacterial. Contagious until 24 hours after fever goes down.

Evening: Fever 99.9, face still congested. Sprayed Lysol over TV remotes, door handles, anything I have touched so Jon & Blake don't get it.

Thursday AM: No fever, still feel crummy. Tired, face feels swollen, although it doesn't look like it. Still have headache and painful ears. Will probably sleep most of day, although quite tough to do so while sitting up to allow for drainage.

Adam & Eve ... you suck.
