A few pics ...

Last week, I came home from work and heard the low battery beep going off on our carbon monoxide detector. I unplugged it to take out the battery, and this is what I found:

After close inspection, Jon determined that something very small and metal shorted the outlet as it caused arc markings on the detector. However, we couldn't find any remnants of anything metal around it. The crazy thing is that the outlet still works as it didn't pop the breaker. When I had unplugged it from the wall, I smelled it and couldn't smell any burnt smell, so I'm guessing it didn't happen recently. But still scary, nonetheless. Thank goodness my hubby has experience with electrical shorts and I'm super thankful that it didn't burn our house down!
On a different note, our General Manager at our shop has a birthday on July 4th. That made for a very easy blanket to make!
